MALCOLMPeacefully after a short illness, at Ayr Hospital on Wednesday 25th June 2008, Jean (nee Smith), 71 years, of Prestwick and formerly of Dalbeattie. Dearly beloved wife to Jim, for over 51 years. Treasured mum to Shona, Alasdair and daughter in law Catherine. Dearest nana to Fiona, Alison and Karen. Much loved sister and auntie of both families and a dear friend to many. Funeral service took place at Masonhill Crematorium, Ayr on Tuesday 1st July 2008. Jim and the family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Ayr Hospital for the care given to Jean during her final days, and to family Doctor and staff at Station Road Surgery Prestwick for their care to Jean over the years. Also to Rev. George Fiddes for his spiritual care, staff at Peter Wilson Funeral Directors, Ayr for their sympathetic attention and all of Jean's many family and friends for their support over recent days, and to everyone who paid their respects at Masonhill Crematorium.
